  • 1 1/4 organic cane sugar
  • 3/4 cup organic fair trade cocoa
  • 2 TBS organic vanilla
  • 2 TBS water
  • 2 large cage-free organic eggs (keep in fridge until time to use)
  • 1/3 cup organic stone wheat flour
  • 2 TBS organic coconut flour (optional)
  • 1 cup organic walnuts

MAKE IT

  1. Heat to 325F and place rack in bottom 1/3 of the oven for top crispness.
  2. Place foil over 8X8 pan and grease with butter.
In a medium saucepan, heat 10 TBS of butter on medium heat. The butter will begin to foam and then bits of brown will rise to the top- when it stops foaming take off heat.
  3. Immediately add sugar, cocoa, vanilla, water. Wait 5 minutes and then add 1 egg at a time.
  4. Stir until silky smooth and add flour.
  5. After mixed, add walnuts.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick is clean.

CLEAN IT

Because of the organic products, this will look different than regular brownie mix. You want it thick and shiny- not runny.

GREEN IT

Be sure to use Organic Valley or any USDA Certified Organic butter. It makes a huge difference in taste!

Stationary Stationery...

"Stationary Stationery"

Do they not have pen or paper where you are
'cause I haven't heard from you in ages
I relive each memory
From time to time
Read notes exchanged
With all those scented pages
It's coming back
It's all coming back to me now

I thought you said that you'd come find me
I thought you said you'd be home by now
I heard you sang that you'd come back here
So I wrote to remind you somehow

Tell me everything turned out alright
Cause I'm where we said
That we'd meet tonight
Does he treat you like you want?
Does he ask to take your hand?
Does he believe in dreams we talked about?
When with no music we danced

I thought you said that you'd come find me
I thought you said you'd be home by now
I heard you sang that you'd come back here
So I wrote to remind you somehow

I thought you said that you'd come find me
I thought you said you'd be home by now
I heard you sang that you'd come back here
So I wrote to remind you somehow

 Dance by yourself and
Think of me when you do

I'm not sure you understand
What this means to me
What you do to me
I'm willing to prove
That you're the one
I regret to slip away
Now I know it was only you
That I've been searching for
Been missing all this time

I thought you said that you'd come find me
I thought you said you'd be home by now
I heard you sang that you'd come back here
So I wrote to remind you somehow

Let the past be past
Let's start today
Letters won't do
I need to see your face
Tell me where to meet
I'll tell you why we should be
(i'll tell you why we should be)

My Easter in Pictures Part 2

My Easter So Far in Pictures :)

Happy Easter!!

I actually started organizing some of my stock around 5am this morning.  JoAnne's had photo boxes on sale so I picked up some new ones!  I also got some of my supplies back in shape.  Cleaning kind of makes me happy....

And getting everything all ready for Grammy's & Aunt Jesse's Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  :)

I like to think that some of my artist traits have rubbed off on my nieces and this surely is proof.  My oldest niece Zoe made a full post board of crafts and stickers for the Easter Bunny this year! The most adorable part is that she made an entire family of bunnies and named them all after her family.  The J is backwords but it is just so sweet that I am fine being Lesse for today.  The last name on this is her stuffed owl, Owly who is very much a part of our family. :)

Roo Kitty loves Easter <3
Well I love taking Easter pictures of Roo Kitty, it must be something like the same thing :)
