"Always speak the truth, think before you speak, and write it down afterwards. "

"Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end; then stop. "

'But I don't want to go among mad people,' said Alice. 'Oh, you can't help that,' said the cat. 'We're all mad here.'

"But I was thinking of a way To multiply by ten, And always, in the answer, get The question back again. "

"Contrariwise, if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic. "

"Everything's got a moral, if only you can find it."
"His answer trickled through my head like water through a sieve."

"I can't go back to yesterday - because I was a different person then."

"I have proved by actual trial that a letter, that takes an hour to write, takes only about 3 minutes to read! "
"If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there."
"It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards."

"No good fish goes anywhere without a porpoise. "

"Oh, 'tis love, 'tis love that makes the world go round."

"There comes a pause, for human strength will not endure to dance without cessation; and everyone must reach the point at length of absolute prostration. "

"Twinkle, twinkle little bat How I wonder what you're at! Up above the world you fly, Like a tea-tray in the sky. "
"We called him Tortoise because he taught us. "

'What is the use of a book', thought Alice, 'without pictures or conversations?'

'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less.'

"Which form of proverb do you prefer Better late than never, or Better never than late?"

"While the laughter of joy is in full harmony with our deeper life, the laughter of amusement should be kept apart from it. The danger is too great of thus learning to look at solemn things in a spirit of mockery, and to seek in them opportunities for exercising wit. "

"Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle. "

Looking For Writers & Bloggers For A New Online Magazine.

*updated & edited 4/10/2012*

Hello again, Before I get into why I am updating this, I have GREAT news to share! - I have got a professional web designer on board to get things set up for us! Oh and the smartest book girl I know as signed on as our literary editor. Yey! :)

And now onto the purpose of my update.  Some of you may already know but I have been super busy with setting up things for Honor Flight that I haven't had the time yet to follow up with everyone that contacted me and expressed interest in writing for this new online magazine.  I promise I will get back to everyone as soon as I can and right now what would really help would be to have a master list of everyone that in interested in being a part of this project .  SO that is what I would like to do now with the comments on this post.  Please leave your email, blog/website or any other links that you want to share with me.  I know that I am asking many of you to repeat an Etsy convo or an email you sent to me already so feel free ti copy and paste your original messages because this is just to get it together in one place.

Also please include what type of articles you are looking to contribute and how many are you thinking that you can commit to every month.

I really think that this will help get this just a little better organized because I have messages on here, Etsy and in my email box and I would love to put it all in one place.   Thanks so so much!  I can't wait to get started on this :)

Hello Everyone!  As you all probably know my passion is art, writing, charity, and helping other artists in any way that I can.  I believe that it is important for artists to make a living and that is why I try to spotlight as many artists as I can through my blogs, but now I am aiming to do something a little bit bigger. I’m looking to start an online magazine in a similar style as my blog and am looking for anyone that might be interested in contributing articles to the magazine.   I have a couple of talented people already on board as writers but for it to be anything bigger than a blog I do need more…and so I am asking for your help.
I expect for the online magazine to officially launch in the fall of 2012.  You don’t have to be a professional writer; I am just looking for people that are passionate about whatever they are writing about.  I’m looking for writers to cover a huge variety of topics but a few examples would be:
Art (obviously)
Entertainment (music, theater, film, etc)
Fashion/Style
Health/Fitness
Social/News
Love
Family
Faith
Home Décor
Beauty
Crafts
I am not able to pay anything at the moment as the website domain and design fees are already a stretch on a student budget however it would be a great opportunity to get your name out there.  If own an Etsy shop, we can include that in your writer profile.  This really is a baby project and I am working from the ground up.   My vision is to create a webpage where art, kindness, family and living can come together.  It will be a labor of love and if anyone is interested in working with me on the project, please contact me.  My email is JesseAnneDesigns@gmail.com
I really hope to hear from you!  Even if you want to contribute 1 article a month, I am just looking for sincerity.

Photo. Lyrics. Critter. (part 54)

"Across the Sea"

You are 18 year old girl who live in small city in Japan.
You heard me,
on the radio.
About one year ago and you wanted to know,
all about me,
and my hobbies.
My favorite food and my birthday
Why are you so far away from me?
I need help and you're way across the sea
I could never touch you - I think it would be wrong
I've got your letter
you've got my song

They don't make stationery like this where I'm from - so fragile, so refined
So I sniff
and I lick
your envelope and fall to little pieces every time
I wonder what clothes you wear to school
I wonder how you decorate your room
I wonder how you touch yourself
and curse myself for being across the sea

Why are you so far away from me?
I need help and you're way across the sea
I could never touch you - I think it would be wrong
I've got your letter
you've got my song

At 10 I shaved my head and tried to be a monk
I thought the older women would like me if i did
You see mom, I'm a good little boy
It's all your fault, momma.
It's all your fault

Goddamn, this business is really lame
I gotta live on an island to find the juice
So you send me
your love
from all around the world
As if I could live on words and dreams and a million screams
oh, how I need a hand in mine to feel.

Why are you so far away from me?
Why are you so far away from me?
I could never touch you - I think it would be wrong
I've got your letter
you've got my song
I've got your letter
you've got my song
-weeeeeeeezer

Description:
This beautiful Jane Austen art journal was inspired by fashion from the regency era. The journal consists of 14 thick pages. Each page was designed by me, put together from high quality card stock, hand cut, and individually inked for that special vintage look.

Each page of the Jane Austen journal features a beautiful regency lady from Austen's era, as well as pieces from Jane Austen's old book covers. This Jane Austen inspired spring journal comes in beautiful pastel colors - orange, light brown, beige, pale pink, light blue, and green. At the very end there is a pocket filled with matching journaling cards, so that you can embellish the journal with your favorite quotes, or simply your memories and thoughts.

*Some of my favorite Jane Austen Quotes*

“An artist cannot do anything slovenly.”

“If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.

“Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.”

“One does not love a place the less for having suffered in it..”

“There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart.”

“There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort.

“To be fond of dancing was a certain step towards falling in love.”

“We have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be.

“What is right to be done cannot be done too soon.

Besides the journal, you also get your choice of 1 handmade card!

Edgar Allan Poe Quotes on Etsy

A few of my personal favorite Poe quotes....

“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”

Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears.

I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.

“I have great faith in fools; self-confidence my friends call it.

“I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat.”

I would define, in brief, the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of Beauty.”

“If you wish to forget anything on the spot, make a note that this thing is to be remembered.

The true genius shudders at incompleteness - and usually prefers silence to saying something which is not everything it should be.”

“There is an eloquence in true enthusiasm.

And on Etsy....

“Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore —
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visiter," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door —
Only this and nothing more” – The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
